Before completing an NX purchase, locate the VIN at the lower driver's windshield and compare it to the door jamb sticker and B-pillar label. The 2022-present NX uses a new platform from the prior generation, the VIN decode will confirm the chassis generation. NX Hybrid and NX Plug-in Hybrid add a battery system label under the vehicle that's not present on gasoline-only variants. The AZ20 generation starts with the 2022 model year; the VIN’s 10th character (N for 2022) shows which side of that line a car falls on.
