The 2013, sold as the JX35, and the 2014 draw the most complaints. NHTSA owners of both years most often describe the CVT shuddering, jerking or failing, and many owners of the 2013 report air bag warnings tied to the passenger seat sensor. CarComplaints lists an air bag light and a shaky steering wheel for the 2013 JX35, transmission shudder, paint defects and failed catalytic converters for 2014, transmission failure for 2015, and oil sludge for 2017.
