Many NHTSA owners of the 2009 describe a faulty passenger occupant sensor that turns on the air bag light or shuts off the passenger air bag, and air bag complaints also lead for 2011. The G37 was discontinued after 2013, making remaining examples over a decade old. The VIN sits on a plate at the base of the driver's side windshield, with a door jamb sticker and trunk lid label as secondary locations. The firewall in the engine compartment carries a stamp. Convertible variants add a secondary label inside the trunk area.
