The i4 electric sedan places its VIN on the driver's door pillar (visible when the door is open), on the dashboard plate at the base of the windshield, and on a label accessible through the display system. As an EV, no engine bay stamp is present in the traditional location, instead, a secondary label appears near the high-voltage battery housing accessible from underneath.
The 2023 leads with 45, ahead of the 2024 (26) and 2025 (12). Those first two alone make up 76% of the 94 i4 complaints filed with NHTSA, not adjusted for sales.
